Freelance Journalist

I live in Vermont with my husband and two children, ages two and four. I grew up in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, a beautiful, rural, and often bizarre place that inspires much of my writing. At the University of Vermont I earned a B.A. in Gender and Ethnic Studies with a focus on literature. Since graduating from college, I've worked as an experiential educator and an EMT, doing technical writing for each job along the way.

Writing for fun has always been something I crammed into stolen bits of free time. I've become really good at scribbling notes on napkins and grocery receipts while driving and when awakened in the middle of the night. Thankfully, the initial horror of having to leave a coveted training position to stay home with my children morphed into an opportunity to become a freelance journalist. I still scribble notes in the middle of the night, however.

I hope you enjoy the articles found at the links to the right, and the opportunities to collaborate listed below.

Let's Talk

Do you know a Vermonter who ought to be interviewed? Tell me who, what, when, where and why in a few sentences and I'll happily look into interviewing them for an article or a podcast.
