Welcome

My name is Drea Kane.

Beyond working as a freelance journalist writing about rural Vermont and Vermonters, I'm a Wilderness EMT volunteering with a local rescue squad, I teach wilderness medicine and run outdoor experiential programs, and I'm an active, "at-home" parent. The links above will take you to more information on these pursuits. Below you'll find links to various websites concerned with rural Vermont.

Whether I'm writing, helping others, or parenting my two young children, I am most interested in communication and community. Why the coffee on my website? Well, it keeps me going, but mostly it has a way of bringing people together, and we can always use more of that.

Thanks for being here. I hope to see you soon in our community!
